The structure for this interpretation is indicated by the term "correlation." Change is explained by the creative contribution of each occasion in the series, and endurance is explained by common qualities which are inherited from antecedent occasions. There is no error in stating that Christ is of humanity and divinity, and that in union these differences persist. But it is precisely the latter which figures prominently in mereological contexts and is thus central to Thomas' explication of reduplication made ratione naturae.

Both kinds of doctrine require the assent of faith. He wrestles with the issue in the Letter to the Galatians, then in Romans 9-11.20 Paul reaches his conclusion at the end of chapter 11 and expresses his conviction that all Israel shall be saved (v. 26). This form was actually possessed by God; His own. Thus, both the Old and New Testaments are consistent in their testimony concerning the Divine Person and work of the Messiah, the Lord Jesus, a consistency that provides a rather strong and persuasive case for the Divine inspiration and veracity of these very sacred Scriptures.
