Not something we do for every missing PT Boat. Through its exhibition of Pilgrim possessions and Native American artifacts, Pilgrim Hall tells the stories of America’s founding and traditions. As a writer, you need to look beyond the immediate subject and get to know the time in history it took place. Is it more humane to die by wallops from a Cambodian pickaxe handle than by a bullet from a German Mauser? Historical fiction books allow us to learn about detail of the time-period from the book, although maybe not totally accurate as some artistic license may have been taken.
