This year’s bottom 20 percent are not the same as last year’s, or those of the year before. Similarly, factory closures in regional towns are not caused by job snobs, but the unemployment that results often destroys individuals, families and sometimes whole communities. In fact, you can click here to see the details on one of the strongest income stocks I’ve profiled in Yield Shark in months. 30-year market expert Tony Sagami leads the Yield Shark and Rational Bear advisories at Mauldin Economics.

It is well recognised that conduct disorder is three to four times more common in children who live in socio-economically deprived families with low income, or who live in a poor neighbourhood. It does not address the relatively much wider capital income -- i.e. wealth --- disparity combined with inordinate growth in financial services relative to other sectors of the economy since the 1970’s.

This section looks at the economic consequences of income inequality. Income inequality may very well be one or the other for very solid social, political or even religious reasons, but I am interested here only in the logical economic outcomes of income inequality. It’s about the difficult of sampling, not about the truth of the contention. In sum, top 1% incomes are close to full recovery while bottom 99% incomes have hardly started to recover. And you see that the ratio of CEO pay to worker pay has gone up.

Even if world inequality is shown to be declining, driven in large part by higher average per capita incomes in China and India compared to other countries (the between-country factor), it does not really mean that the poorer people in China are better off unless inequalities within China are also declining. As a result, real levels of income inequality in America are much higher than the official Census Bureau figures would suggest. Let’s see…… the Pledge of Allegiance I learned in kindergarten says…… “……one nation under God….. with liberty and justice for all…….” Hmmm……. somehow this was missed in this thinly disguised premise that being an American does not guarantee FISCAL EQUALITY for all. Heightened partisanship in Washington and declining trust in government have many causes (and the latter slide predates the Great Divergence). New research by Branko Milanovic and Roy van der Weide decimates these myths.
